Bottle Winners (Top Wineries) in Slow Wine’s debut guide to California wines

The editors of the Slow Wine Guide would like to express their heartfelt solidarity with the victims and displaced in the Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino fires.

Elaine Brown, California contributor to JancisRobinson.com and senior editor for the Slow Wine Guide to the Wines of California, posted this dispatch yesterday morning on the Slow Wine blog and she posted this update on Jancis’ site late last night.

Elaine lives in Sonoma with her family and they evacuated voluntarily yesterday.

The Slow Wine’s new project launched 2 weeks ago: The Slow Wine Guide to the Wines of California, soon to be available online and in print.

Today, we are going to sharing the Bottle prize that our editors have awarded to Golden State wineries in the 2018 edition of the guide.

What does the Bottle prize mean?

The BOTTLE PRIZE is awarded to wineries whose wines represent benchmarks in quality.
